I've been doing a strict ketogenic diet for a month now and with the help and support of the MFP community I've lost 23 pounds!

    First off you deserve a :drinker: for doing keto for a month ...I don't know how you do it. Great results though, do you plan on doing keto forever?

    That sounds incredibly dangerous, you should not be losing more than ten pounds per month.

    Haha, thanks! too bad it's high in carbs! I'm doing it for a year, when I reach my goal weight I'm upping my calories for maintenence.

    Yeah! I'm usually at around 12-20g a day.

    Around 50% of it is water weight, It usually slows down after the first month. After the first month you usually plateu for a while, the body needs adjusting to the use of ketones. I'm constantly monitoring my heartrate and looking for any signs of trouble, I'm putting my health first! :)
