Just reading some of the silly comments for the first time.

Well, many of us give and receive and enjoy on the regular, and find many ways to make it fun and interesting in as many different ways as we can, always finding newer and exciting ways (that's the way it is in a long term, happy, exciting marriage). This can include lots of stuff I shall not mention online :blushing: , But, also includes role playing, and "holidays". Holidays does not mean things do not happen on all the other days, it just makes that day "special" in a way that is fun and exciting that day in whatever ways the person requests, and for as long as they want (which is fun for everyone really). That can happen anytime you choose (you can make your own holidays). I think birthdays is a good example (as mentioned). On my birthday, I say what I want and I do what I want. Doesn't mean that never happens spontaneously, just that on my birthday, it is a sure thing that day, all day and all night and nothing else gets in the way. Sure, that happens all the time spontaneously and surprisingly. But that doesn't mean I don't enjoy my birthday. And some days we devote to a specific endeavor and other days to another and other days to another. There are so many things to enjoy. we can't do it all in one night, every night. We make choices, to enjoy each day. I know I'm just stating the obvious.

With that said, pi day is a fun day for us (as a science family).
  • If you need a made up holiday to make your significant other "smile" I feel sorry for your husband/boyfriend.

    :drinker: I agree.
