Hi Folks,

Posting this on behalf of my sister.

She is on a GF diet but is also vegetarian (no fish or chicken).

Any advice on what she can eat to get enough protein in her diet?

Thanks!

Beans. Tofu. If she isn't vegan she can get protein from cheeses, eggs and whey protein drinks. If she's vegan she could try a non-whey protein mix like soy.

Tofu, beans, legumes, fortified non- dairy milk, and protein powder supplements. You can look up some great recipes on You Tube. I am trying a Lentil Soup recipe that saw on there last night.

    Good Luck to your Sis!

    Completely misparsed that, too tired.

    Pulses, tofu, paneer, nuts

If your sis does dairy, then Greek yogurt is a great protein source .. about 23 g protein / 9 g carbs per cup (varies slightly by brand) I like Fage, but there are other brands as well like cabot and chobani, sometimes you can even find a store brand with good ingredients / numbers. My local Winn-Dixie has a great one! I look for o%or 1% fat. ;)

    Best of luck!
