Kinda embarressed

So I just gave birth three months ago to a beautiful little girl but after I had her my stomach fell and now I have frontal dunlap (which I have never had before) to make it even worse it is causing a rash or something and it is gross and sometimes it bleeds. So I have been treating it with antibiotic ointment. It is gross to me but also motivating. I don't like it and want it gone!!!! and with exercise and hard work it will go away!!!

Instead of antibiotic ointment, try cleaning the area with peroxide and use a medicated powder (like Gold Bond or Anti Monkey Butt) to keep it dry. I've had that problem, especially when I'm doing a lot of work and sweating, and this works for me. Good luck.

This is one fear that I do have when I have children in the near future. Mainly because I already have a mommy pouch without being a mommy.. This is why I am working my butt off to be in great physical condition when i get pregnant that way I can continue to workout through my pregnancy and hope that once I give birth I may not have more of a droop. However, and this is the easy way out, my FH told me that if this happens and I can't loose it that I could get a tummy tuck =) I know its the easy way out but sometimes that area just doesnt shrink back up.

Anyways I would guess that using the medicated powder would be your best bet! Good luck to you and I am sure you'll be the lucky one to shrink that sucker right back up!!!

I had two babies in two years. I was 30-40 pounds overweight with my first and 20 pounds heavier for my second. I have a little bit of a pooch, but the bigger thing to worry about is tightening the ab muscles after pregnancy.

What you describe sounds like a fungal infection to me and using an antibiotic cream will actually make it worse. Be sure to wash and dry it thoroughly (sp) at least twice a day and apply an antifungal powder or cream (the same as you use for athletes foot) for a couple of weeks

I've never heard it called that - just googled it, ha, dun lap over your jeans :-). I just call it my stomach pooch, recently heard kangaroo pouch.

I haven't had kids either, but I recently started menopause, had a stressful month at work and gained 20 lbs, I think all of it in my stomach! I'm hoping I can reduce it with ab exercises...

Mine does itch and I am afraid of it getting worse. So, in the shower, I use a scrub on it that has beads, that seems to help. Maybe you could try that once it gets a little better. Good luck!

Use a cream (Thentix) it's amazing - i think you can order it online - I don't get a rash but I've always had a belly (my rashes used to happend between my theighs from them rubbing together (in the summer for example) - anyway one of the ingrediants of this cream is honey (with it's AMAZING healing powers)

    http://www.healthy-foryou.com/

it's AMAZING!! i use it as a face cream and my pimples (that i get once a month) don't even fully develop - they start and then they're just disappearing - it's great for scarring too, and I use it on my feet too (for the dry cracked heels - especially in winter).

try it! it's all natural (so you can even use it as a lip conditioner if you want to)

Sorry to go off the post topic, but I saw this and I want to talk baby carriers!! :) One of my biggest motivators for loosing weight is that I'm hooked on using a wrap style carrier and want to loose weight before having our first so that I can do this more comfortably. I'd like to PM you about this.

I normally was putting baby powder under it and under my breasts as well. We just ran out and I haven't gotten more. I do have cream for fungal infections and can try that.

My profile pic shows me sitting down on a pumpkin with my babe in a "my baby nest" I love it and put her in it all the time.

I've had this same rash before though mine usually occurs under my breasts. It's very common where skin touches skin. There's an Rx powder called Nystatin that will get rid of this rash usually with one prescription...just a couple of days' use actually and it's gone. The key is keeping the area clean, very dry and applying the Nystatin.
