Nope. And I assure you it makes no difference. This last week I ate several times in the middle of the night and I still lost weight. The only thing that does matter is that you count the calories whenever it is that you eat them.

cals/per day are for 24hours,so it doesn't matter when you eat .

I eat dinner after work and my evening run, so around 10:30-11pm every night. It doesn't matter when you eat.

Personally, I sleep better if I don't eat at least an hour before bed. But your metabolism is running at all times, so it doesn't actually matter when you eat so long as you keep to goals.

I was told to stop eating carbs after 7 p.m., but I have no idea how much this actually interferes with weight loss. Honestly, I eat when I'm hungry because there is no point in starving myself. I just count my calorie intake and hope for the best!

I eat when I want to eat but I do try to balance it out over the day. But with my work schedule sometimes I I'm eating dinner at 9:30 PM. I'm not worried about it. The only thing I make sure to do is eat something before I go work out so I don't pass out at the gym.
  • Thanks everyone but I'm glad it don't matter cause I am usually hella hungry before bed n it cause me to snack n go over my calorie intake

I think people said that they didn't eat after a certain time at night simply because they experienced discomfort while trying to sleep, or couldn't fall asleep at all. And after a while, somehow it turned into a "dieting rule." It definitely doesn't matter when you quit eating in a day. :)

Lunch is usually my last meal of the day unless I'm not working out or going out to dinner. I simply don't have time to eat between finishing work and my workout and by the time I'm finished I can't be bothered so I usually only have a protein shake before bed. Is that a meal?

No, it's just whenever I have time, which is sometimes right before I go to bed.
