    Sorry but as an Irish person I have to say it's never St. Patty's Day. It's either Paddy's Day or St. Paddy's Day. It drives us crazy when people say Patty! Sorry, just commenting.....

    Lol this is so true, never ever Pattys day. It's Paddys day or St. Patricks day. I'd love to know who first started saying Patty, so I could give them a lecture ;-)

    I'm Irish too and I think it's just because of how a lot of Americans pronounce T like a D (think 'compuder'/ 'a glass of wader'/' siddown on the chair'). So when they hear Paddy they think it's Patty. Harmless I know but I understand the urge to correct it when I see it. :-)
