Pausing workout videos for breaks

I'm fairly new to this exercise thing and I sometimes find it difficult to complete a workout to finish when I am doing some of the videos provided on youtube.
Is it ok to pause the video and take short breaks when it gets to be too much? Will you still burn the same amount of calories with this breaks in between the routine. My breaks are about 2-3 minutes at the most 4 and I'm jogging in place or doing some other form of activity throughout them.

Why do you need to take long breaks? is the workout too hard for your level of fitness? Taking a break is ok if your heart rate is too high or you feel sick but not just cause your muscles are tired.
And if you do take a break it should be really short (less than 1 min). Stopping for 4 min is pretty long!
What kind of video work outs are you doing? You should be able to go at your own pace and do less reps than the video.
You can always modify and do low impact aerobics rather than high and gradually work up to harder work outs.0 -

I pause because it hurts lol. The videos are not long at all, about 25 minutes, and are low impact cardio. I just ache too badly after doing the same thing over and over.
I'll try to stop pausing and just modify. Thanks0 -
If it's too much, you might want to try something lighter for now and work your way up to the videos you have been doing. There are 10 minute and less ones out there, too. Maybe you could start with those and just do them twice a day?0

I would think you could take short breaks within reason as long as you're still moving. Try keeping them under a set amount of time to help build your endurance. It will get easier with time.0
