Two nights ago I pigged out and had 3500 calories. I didn't plan to but I was so depressed and not thinking clearly that I just ate and ate all in one sitting. Yesterday I worked out and ate 1200 calories and plan on doing it again today. I stepped on the scale this morning and it reads I gained 1.5 pounds =( could this be true? I have been very bloated since that pig out though. My stomach hurts still and I've been a bit gassy. If the 1.5 pounds is actual fat I will just work the next week to lose it.

If you think about it 3500 calories= 1 pound, but this would be 3500 on top of your tdee amount so the most likely increase on your scales is water weight, so make sure you drink lots of water today and the scales should even themselves out by the end of the week0

I sure hope it's just water weight. I will check again tomorrow before I eat/drink. I checked my weight this morning after I drank my morning coffee.0

maybe you need to look at why you binge in the first place... most likely because you restrict your calories too much the rest of the time.
you probably only ate about 1500 cals over maintenance which is potentially less than half a pound of actual fat... you are bloated because it was more food that normal and probably more carbs...0 -

If you want to be accurate, weigh before you drink anything. 300ml of coffee weighs 300g or 0.6lb, whether it is in your cup or your stomach.0 -

Thank you for clearing that up for me!0 -
Let it go. As long as it's not an occurring thing, keep it in the past and get back on track.1

This ^^
We all slip up once in a while. Just get back on track & you will be fine. That bloated feeling is your body telling you not to do it again. Next time you feel the urge to over indulge, remember that feeling. It does help!
If you obsess over every mistake, you won't achieve your goal! :flowerforyou:0 -
If I eat out and consume a high calorie meal my weight will increase or a few days... I expect it... Stay hydrated and eat your normal intake and your weight will level out.1
