Hello to all the wonderful myfitnesspal members out there!

I just joined a few days ago after my sister-in-law told me about this awesome website. I must admit - I'm really impressed with the layout of the website and the ease of getting to information quickly and efficiently. I'm 43 years old and I've battled obesity for the last 20 years. Finally, I have joined a gym and signed up with a personal trainer to give me a kick start. So far, I've been going regularly to the gym the past 5 weeks and I'm determined to lose 40 lbs in the next 9-12 months.

I wish all of you great success and I'll be sure to post great tips as I continue to work with my personal trainer.

Sincerely,
Don

    Hello Helen!

I totally agree with you to your point about Facebook. This website is so much more meaningful to me when I read that there are "real people" out there facing challenges with trying to stay fit and healthy. Since, i joined myfitnesspal.com - I haven't logged into FB. That site is garbage - I mean, WOW somebody posts that they are going shopping today or they have a date night with their husband?!?! BORING!

This site is great and very informative and I'm sure I will post many informative messages which hopefully helps others like you in the near future. Helen, thanks for responding to my introduction. I'm sure you will hear from me again!

I hope you and your loved ones enjoyed Thanksgiving!

    Kind Regards,
    Don
