so the other day i was thinking. i dont pee enough. and if im not peeing enough im not flushing the waste and toxins outta my body like i should be which could be a good reason why im not losing some weight. total on an average day for me i drink only about 8 oz. i take like 1 small drink to take my birth control and then like a drink or two thru out the day. i pee about 2 times a day when i wake up in the am and then like later in the evening. oh btw my urine is sometimes clear and other times darker yellow but never dark brown or orange

does this sound to be about right? what i am saying.....about the toxins?

im going to start drinking more!

You should be drinking 8 cups of water a day, 8oz is only 1 cup. Could be why you aren't peeing enough. I drink almost 14 cups of water a day and pee alot, LOL.

I can't see your diary. When I really started concentrating on water intake, I swear I had a bladder like a bee. Then I got used to it and better yet, the custodian at work stopped giving me strange looks.
I feel I am successful in my intake when I take my Animal Pak vitamins in the morning and my 10am my pee is faded yellow. FYI Animal Paks are loaded with B complex with makes your pee look something akin to nuclear waste.

I have 2 cups of water before each meal and 1 cup after I eat. Also 1 cup of water before a snack as well. Even if I am not thirsty I make myself drink the water. It was hard to do at first but got used to it.

You should be drinking more that's for sure! But it sounds like your pee is the right colors. You just don't want any blood in it. Drinking more water will help you not retain any so you will lose weight better.

As far as toxins are concerned, it depends on what you're eating. If you're eating a lot of processed foods there will be a lot of preservatives, artificial ingredients and chemicals. Those aren't good for you even when you're drinking enough water. But, the reason urine is colored is from vitamins, toxins and other waste being flushed out. The color of urine depends on the concentration. If you're drinking lots and lots of water urine will be more clear because because it gets diluted so much. When you don't drink water it can be yellow, orange or brown because the waste elements are so concentrated.

Fat loss is different. When your body metabolizes fat it gets broken down by different organs until there is just water and carbon dioxide left. Water comes out in your urine, carbon dioxide comes out when you exhale.

But if you aren't drinking enough water you are most likely retaining a ton of water. When you don't drink enough your body holds on to whatever water it gets from your food. If you start drinking more you'll lose a lot of water weight at first.

Another thing you can try, as well, is to eat more juicy food. Juicy grapes, raw pineapple. You will get fiber as well as more water in your diet in addition to trying to drink more.
  • drink more
  • Def more water. In the beginning you have to make yourself. but then your body craves it!!!!!

Get a nice reusable bottle at Target or Walmart and carry it with you everywhere. Drink all day long. If that does not work the 2 cups before meals will work too. Downing all of it in one massive drink does not work as well. Once you start drinking water throughout the day - you will be thirsty for water all the time :-)
  • I drink 2 to 3 litres of water a day, its now habit to me, but at the start I was peeing every 10 minutes, but after about 2 weeks I got use to it and dont need to pee as much now, and I can sleep through the night without waking up, but come morning and its like niagara falls lol

I read online that everyday you should be drinking 8 cups of water *8 oz. each* and add one extra cup for every 25 pounds you are overweight.

You have to drink more. Your body needs at minimum 8 glasses of water a day, every day. This journey is not just about losing weight but living healthy.

So find a system that works for you and drink your water. I drink tons of water and only water. Nothing else. Just plain ole ice water. So refreshing.

aim to drink half your body weight in ounces, daily. Example: If you weight 200 lbs, drink 100 oz.

You'll be peeing plenty by then!

My husband is the worst at drinking water. Literally. SO bad. It disgusts me because I can drink a gallon of water a day and I just want him to be healthy. Used to be that he would go WEEKS without drinking ANY water. He says water makes him sick. I say, DRINK IT ANYWAYS. Anyways, now his secret to drinking water is drinking with meals. He can't just sit there an slug it down. So he picks that as his beverage of choice for breakfast, lunch and dinner to get his 8 cups in. Its worked wonders! Thought I would let you know incase that helps.

    Also:

    Urine

Urine consists of water and dissolved waste material from what you have been drinking and eating. It also includes dead blood cells and other material the body wants to eliminate.

The kidneys process the blood plasma, allowing water, sugars, vitamins, amino acids and other vital substances back into the bloodstream. They eliminate excess water, salts and minerals, as well as urea from protein digestion, uric acid, creatinine from muscle breakdown, hormone waste and toxins. Also eliminated is urochrome, which is a yellow pigment that comes from the processing of dead blood cells in the liver.

The urochrome gives the urine a pale yellow color, which is its normal color.

    Abnormal colors

Since the normal color of urine is pale yellow, variations can be an indication of health problems or be the result of certain foods that have been eaten.

    Clear urine
If a person has been drinking an excess of water or diuretics such as coffee or beer, the urine may have little or no color. Typically, it is nothing to worry about if it happens occasionally.

    Yellow urine
Excess sweating could result in the urine becoming a deeper yellow. Also, it is a sign that you have not been drinking enough liquids

    Dark yellow urine
Liver problems or jaundice can cause the urine to become consistently a dark yellow color. Be sure you have been drinking enough fluids before jumping to conclusions.

All of those are MOST likely from not drinking enough fluids. :o)

    LOLOLOL. Yeah I bet!

I woke up one morning and felt bloated. I don't normally feel that way. Not sure what I ate that caused it. But then...............I went to the bathroom about 30 times that day. I could literally feel my body shrink. Time lapse photography would have been awesome.

be carful with drinking RIGHT before and RIGHT after you eat, yes it shown that it will help you feel fuller but it actually dilutes the amount of acid in your stomach and your body isn't able to break down the food as easily when you drink driectly before during and after you eat.

I drink 2-3 litres a day. I've already drank 3 litres today and I've been to the loo 6 times in the last hour and half! Bloody hell, i need to go again :noway: . I can go the whole night without waking up for a pee but during the day, it won't stop!
also, each time i do pee, i leave the bathroom feeling lighter and like my stomach is gradually getting smaller :)

Water also helps move the bowels, and together with fiber will help keep the waste going out faster.

if u dont like drinking water, u could try peppermint tea or fruit tea. In the summer i make the kids fruit tea & let it go cold instead of chordal. They will drink it warm as well, they love going to my mums as she has the ones i dont have.
  • i know i need to drink more. i dont drink much of ANY THING. that 8 oz was including any drink.

Every time I go to the bathroom I take a big drink at the faucet after washing my hands. It's probably between 1/2 cup and 1 cup, but it gets the cycle going! Then I pee more, and I drink when I pee, then I pee more.... and I try to drink a couple cups in between as well (harder in the winter for me to do.) I have always had nearly clear pee too, so it works :)
