I haven't eaten bread in over 6 months (OK...a couple cheat dinners, like my awards banquet (had a dinner roll) and a biannual trip to the fabulous rib joint (had TWO fry breads.)) But I haven't bought a loaf of bread home since the beginning of August. I was at the market tonight and found Dave's Killer Bread~Thin sliced. 70 cals/13 carbs. Tons of whole grains, covered with nuts and seeds. It is so good, but I know a bit dangerous, so I divided and froze in ziplocks with 4 slices/bag. I found it at Walmart and it was way affordable. FYI: Apparently, "Dave's" journey to bread baking is an interesting one.

  • Love that stuff....His Rye bread is pretty good too. I never realized how low in calories it was (haven't eaten much bread since I started eating better).
