This is nt a troll . And guys if you guys think this is "funny" and wanna blast me or troll all over this thread please just don't .. For the past 8 months my binges cost me every single bit of progress I make .every time I loose a lb I gain it back .. I have not been able to keep a pound off for these whole 8 months . 8 months .. With no progress .. how sad would that make you feel ?????? It makes me want to quit everyyyy daaaaay . But I tell myself quiting isnt an option .... but I Feel like NOOOO MATTER WHAT , all of this is just for Nooo reason and I mine as well quit because I legit make ZERO progress . has anyone had a journey similar to mine ? even if you havent . help me please

Find a counselor that specializes in eating disorders. This is beyond any help that an online forum can give you.
Purging is not going to help you lose weight, it's only going to add on additional health problems. You can do this. You can get control of this.0 -
Perhaps you should seek professional help to determine why you have an unhealthy relationship with food.....there's often more to it than just self-control.0

Okay first off, as someone who has struggled with an eating disorder since I was young, you don't just "become" bulimic. An eating disorder is serious, it's not something you pick up.
And you know what? It's horrible. Having an eating disorder ruined me, and now I don't know how to lose weight the healthy way. And, there are some serious consequences that have affected me to this day.
Throwing up ruined my teeth. My enamel is shot. There is no avoiding it, I did everything I could to preserve my teeth. Throwing up destroyed the protective layer of enamel on my teeth so that now my teeth are literally transparent on the bottom -- if you shine a light into my mouth you can see through parts of my teeth. I cannot eat or drink anything too hot or cold because my teeth hurt instantly.
It ruined my throat -- I keep sore throats all the time as a result of the damage done.
Every time you force yourself to throw up, you risk bursting a blood vessel in your face due to excessive force. And they don't magically disappear, those red marks will stay for weeks. No amount of makeup will hide them. Even worse, you can burst a blood vessel in your eye, and there is no hiding that.
Another issue with bulimia? You won't actually lose weight. Most bulimics remain at an average or above-average weight. When I was hospitalized, all the girls that were bulimic looked to be a healthy weight, or were even overweight.
Also, throwing up sucks. You cry every time you throw up because you hate it so much, and nobody wants to cry five times a day.
It's a disgusting habit that you try all the time to hide, and if you live with someone, you have to be sneaky. You become insanely paranoid, and you lose your friends because you are constantly suspicious of them, and they are constantly suspicious of you.
So no, don't try to be bulimic. Don't force yourself to throw up. It's not glamorous and it doesn't transform your body. You may lose a few pounds, but that's just about it. You become more bloated, because your body has already begun the digestive process but never finishes, so you retain water weight. As someone who has struggled with an eating disorder for years -- it really doesn't change your body, all it does is ruin you mind. Now i'm having to re-learn healthy eating all over again to lose weight properly. It's not worth all the pain.0 -

Faeriecake just said pretty much all I was gonna type. I was deep in from 12-24 years old. My teeth have a permanent funky color to them. The bags under my eyes are horrendous. You can even mess up your skin. Wrinkles are awesome... *cough* My sinuses are messed up on one side from a few "accidents". Let's not even mention the damage you can do from using other products to "help" you vomit. Trust me when I say you only have to throw up stomach lining/blood once to realize there's something seriously wrong with you. You'll also be looking at jacking up your electrolytes in a huge way which leads to not so awesome heart palpitations that haunt you even 20 years later. I'm damned lucky I didn't have a heart attack. I also have no clue what I'm looking at as I near middle age.
I understand your frustration. Trust me. Even all these years of being "in recovery" (you never truly recover from an eating disorder), that little voice haunts me. It's scary but please, for the love of all that's good in this world, Mia is NOT a friend you want or need.
