is this ok? avocado as pre workout snack

I need a snack before I work out, since I work out at 4:30 and I have lunch at noon. Is it ok to have half an avocado as a pre workout snack when trying to lose weight? I generally have very little fat in my diet, as i'm eating a greens-based vegan diet, with tons of veggies, nuts, tofu, beans, etc for protein.

    I don't see why not. It is a superfood and it does have great protein.

    Your body needs fat to function, you should be getting at least 25% fat in your total calories. Avocados' fat is the good kind of fat and makes a delicious snack, or better yet make guacomole - just add a little bit of lime juice and some garlic and cilantro.
