I am having a hard time eating the amount of calories that is set up with MFP. If I don't meet the calorie goal and I am at 1000cals under which would leave me at 1600 net cals. I shouldn't exercise?

Imho you're better off exercizing so you dont loose too much muscle and kill your metabolism. Then you would get a few more colories to eat as a side benefit. I like kettlebells personally for good cardio and strength benefits with a minimum time investment.0

It's always easy to eat more, just stick to calorie dense foods or liquid calories like peanut butter, butter, cheese, milk, juice, soda, etc. What do you mean by should you not exercise? If you're referring to skipping cardio, then yes if you can't eat enough food and your calorie deficit is already large, then don't do any cardio, but you should be strength training for sure.0

Sometimes my problem is that I haven't eaten enough in the day and by time night comes around I can't catch up to the needed cals. At night is when I exercise, but I find myself at to big of a calorie deficit to do so.0

What are your gross calories in a day?
Have you calculated your TDEE?
How exactly are you calculating your calorie burns?
What is your current weight and how much do you have to lose?
Are you strength training to preserve lean mass?
A simple answer to the question posed is that it is not better to not exercise. You should exercise. But you may be confused on calorie consumption, net calories, your deficit, and how much you're burning doing these exercises.0 -

Can you not eat after you workout right before you go to bed?0 -
Be deliberate about eating more throughout the day. You want to get to your target weight with a healthy metabolism and be able to eat without tracking and depriving yourself forever.0

This or if you know you are running a 1000 calorie deficit at the end of each day then make sure you are eating more earlier in the day... I have been in maintenance for the past 15 months at 4000 calories a day... Knowing this My standard breakfast is 1500 calories to get a jump start on my calorie intake... Timing is not important as far as when you eat but it is important to make sure you are hitting your caloric intake and macro's each day...0 -
Total cals to lose 2lbs a week are 2430. Calculating burns using MFP which I don't think are very correct. Current weight 320 (6'5) want to lose about 60 or more. Yes I am strength training. What are your gross calories in a day?

Exercising will not in and of itself make you lose weight, but it will benefit your muscle and heart health. If you don't want to lose massive amounts of muscle mass as well as fat while losing weight, you need to keep working out. Eat more calorie dense foods to hit your goal (nuts, beans, avocado, granola...) and hit it hard.

I know how to lose weight the wrong way (100lbs)! I have been on a roller coaster for to many years now. Just recently I have trying to eat the right way so that I can get rid of more weight and keep it off. The more I read the more I get confused because so many people have different ideas of what will work. So I am asking as many questions as possible and then I will weigh it all out and do what I think is the best way. I just want to make sure I keep it off!0

Please read this, it's an amazing article and it will clear up a lot of things for you about weight loss, calorie deficits, macronutrients etc. It contains 148 citations to scientific articles, papers, and studies, so it backs up every statement it makes and is very thorough.
