New(ish) & need support

I've been on MFP for not quite 2 months but I only joined because a friend of mine was using it. I started my 'diet' the day after Christmas & I have had some very difficult days. I would love to find some new friends, for support, encouragement & some that know how difficult some of this can be.

Quick low down on me: I'm a wife of 13.5 years, mom of 4 (11y, 10y, almost 9y & 19.5m) & just started working full time nights as a home health nurse. Feel free to message or add me, I do log on daily.

  • Oh yeah one more thing, I'm trying to lose about 100 lbs (10.5 gone so far so 89.5 to go). Not easy for someone that was once the 'skinny one' many years ago, but still.

Welcome to the MFP community. I have about 140 to lose and the goal is to have 75 total off by my 50th birthday this October. I went from an active firefighter, paramedic, and police officer, but I got struck by a car and lost my left leg, so now I have 2 different dispatch jobs. Keep your eye on the prize and keep pushing. There are great folks here and I would love to join you in your journey to better health :-)

I need new friends, I cull inactive friends regularly so I'm in the market for new friends all the time, anyone is free to add :)

  • Hey!

I'm new to MFP, but have high hopes for success here! I am 22, married, and mommy to a perfect 6 week old boy. I am friendly, smart, and joke around a lot. I love being a stay at home mommy and wife. I'm very happy with my life, the only problem is, I LOVE FOOD. I have never been comfortable with my weight. Growing up I was always on the chubby side, once I got to high school I began running 2 miles a day and lost 60 lbs. That being said, once I entered the real world, I quit exercising and gradually over the past 4 years had gained most of it back. I then found out I was pregnant (yay!) and though I've lost all of my pregnancy weight except 8 lbs, my body looks so much different than before, and I'm just not comfortable with myself, despite my husband constantly assuring me I am beautiful and look great. I absolutely hate exercise and find it hard to be motivated with a new baby and household chores. I want to make the change and like myself again. Feel free to add me!
