Weight Loss Advice

I'm still fairly new to weight loss as well as dieting as it's never been apart of my life till recently. I've been wanting to better myself and not just for our Mexico trip in 3 months but for the long haul. I've been exercising 6 days a week (Taking Mondays as a day of rest) as well as dieting with the odd cheat day about every other week (Mainly on Paydays). I dropped 10pounds after my first two weeks (I'm about 5'9 and weighted 190..now 180). My issue right now is I'm not seeing any change when I jump on the scale and it's a bit upsetting but I'm still at my diet and exercise. I have however noticed my clothes fit differently and now my employees and my employer are taking notice of how I look differently. Any advice on how to kick start the weight loss again or am I still losing weight but gaining more muscle???

Weighing yourself is only one indicator. You could be losing weight and gaining muscle. You could also be retaining water. You should also take your measurements to see if there are any changes there or not. I usually use both the scale and my measures to gauge how I'm doing.0

You can't gain muscle eating at a calorie deficit.
The scale is not a good indicator though, a lot of times water weight plays tricks on us. Just keep doing what you're doing.0 -
If it's only been 2 weeks keep at it. Your body is getting used to the change in diet and exercise. Monitor progress after 4-6 weeks. If you're doing more exercise than you used to and eating a deficit you will lose weight. Definitely incorporate resistance training and agree with others regarding not trusting the scales - measurements of hips, waist, chest, wrist, forearm, thighs, neck are much more accurate. However, if your clothes feel different and people are noticing a change then that is evidence it's working. Give it time. Good luck :drinker:0

It all depends on your metabolism. But if you eat salad and drink water instead of sugary drinks plus exersizing will definitely get you 40-50 pounds off at maximum 2 months no matter what your metabolism is like. I used to eat regular food and train daily but the food I ate was in high quantities but I still managed to lose 18 pounds in one month . Exercising is key. Even if you don't exercise you would still lose plenty of weight by having the meals you say. Remember though the healthier you eat the more active you will tend to become mentally and physically. I recommend you eat healthy and exercise for these two months because the changes will be dramatic and its only a small art of your life that you will have to suffer these two months when, exercising. When I lost that weight for some reason I never gained it back because I am now way more active.0
