I wanted to create a group for people like me who are in their 20's with BIG LB'S to lose! I'm not sure if its just me but because of my age and my weight I feel like I haven't found a comfortable group yet to vent my hardships, triumphs etc. So I hope this group is it and I hope many of you in your 20's with BIG LB's to Lose join me in this fight against the scale! Men and women welcome!

Lets start by just saying a little about ourselves and our situations!! Hope we all meet some great encouraging friends!

-Cheers!

Ok I guess I will be the first to post on here. I am too in my 20's..... 26 to be exact and I have big lbs to lose. I am a 327 lb male and I struggle with my weight everyday. Its one of the hardest things to accomplish and keep fighting. I would like to be down to about 220-230 lbs. Thats about 100 lbs and I know I can do it I just need to put my head to it and just do it. But food is indeed my enemy and I fight it everyday. Its the same as a smaoker that fights the urges. My urge is to eat. Not because I am bored but just because I am addictged to eating. I have major problem and I better get it under control because I have a beautiful wife and the two most amazing kids that I have to continue to provide for. I cant leave them because I dont want to grasp my problem. So theres my story and I would like to get started here soon to tackle this. Any suggestions?????
  • Hey guys. I too have a lot of weight to drop. I'm 24 and started my journey at 397.4 lbs. I've currently lost 80 of those pounds, but I still have a lot more to go.

Eating was just convenient for me. While I was completely my degree, it was just easier to grab fast food than to cook a proper meal. Those habits are truly what escalated my weight so drastically. However, I've always been either overweight or obese.

Feel free to add me as a friend for support. :)
  • Hey,

I'm only just out of my 20's - I'm 32. I see myself as being in my 20's though! Anyway - I was 340lbs when I started my journey in January this year and have managed to drop 140lbs. It's my way of encouraging others, if I can do it then anyone can. Good luck on all your journeys. Being so young and obese weighs you down literally and restricts your life in general. Now, I feel like I'm in my teens again so hold on to every little success you have and don't beat yourself up on the gains. It happens.
  • Im on my way to 20... im 18. I have been at the same weight for the last 2 yrs of high school. It's college time now and i am prepared to work on it.
Everyone needs a little help and encouragement. I know I do!
  • Hey there. I'm Sarah. I'm 24 and have around 220 lbs to lose. I would LOVE to have other people to talk to who are in my age range and have a LONG way to go on this journey. I feel like it will probably help all of us tremendously to have friends who are in the same boat to talk to. Feel free to message me or chat with me ANY TIME!

  • I am so glad to see people interested in this group! Myself I had a baby 8 months ago and I put a considerable amount of weight on after the pregnancy being a stay-at-home mom. The worst part is was I was over weight before I even got pregnant so the weight has just piled on. I am engaged however keep putting off the wedding as I am too afraid to see my 'fat' self in wedding pictures!!

I am thinking we should start by doing something motivational as a group! Giving ourselves goals....what should it be? Anyone interested? Lose a few lb's by Christmas? Cut out fast food? Few pounds by New Years? I am not sure what yet but we should work towards a goal at a time encouraging one another!!! Any suggestions?!
