On a plateau after 8 months

Hi am a 55 year old women who has been exercising and watching food plan for eights months and lost 15 kilos. Now find even with an increase in strength training I cannot continue to lose - another 5 to lose on my goal - need encouragement please.

  • First of all, congratulations on the weight you have lost already, that is a HUGE accomplishment!

    Second of all, have you tried changing up your eating? As weird as it sounds, sometimes you need to eat more (this was the case with me).

    Thank you - I have thought of this and may need to increase my protein intake and get my metabolism to speed up a bit.

    Changing up your excersize routine also helps. For example, increase the speed or incline of your cardio and/or change up the pounds and reps you do for strength training.
    The trick is to keep your body guessing with your fitness as well as your diet habits.
