Hello I'm just looking for some positive friends like myself so that we can motivate one another. I was at one point and time 520 pounds. I was very miserable and just had enough of it all so I decided to do something about it. I had gastric bypass in Sept of 2012 since then to date I have lost 260 pounds. My goal is 160 even though my doctors says that is still overweight for my lol...like whatever right. So now that it has been over a year my progress of my weight lost from the surgery has slowed down. I have been pulling my own weight sort of speak to finish the job. I take my weight loss seriously I think maybe a bit obsessive about it. But that's okay because it keeps me motivated. So long story short if you are a positive person and want other positive people in your circle Let's be friends...Hope to chat with you soon!

Wow...that is amazing. Well, my goal is 175. As black women we have to realize that the weight they say is healthy may not be healthy for us. So I'm just going to lose where I'll be comfortable at and where I can still keep my curves and butt lol. Yes, let's be friends because I am serious about doing this now and need some positivity on this weight lose journey.
  • Hi,
I totally agree about the whole curvy thing, Black women are known to be curvy it's who we are lol. I think 160 is about right for me. I'm 5'2 so that will make me a bit thick but it wont be overweight to me. I'm like you I just want to be comfortable with myself and I am not trying to be the so called model size because I know that I would not look good that skinny... So let us be friends and end this journey to obesity. You know what they say " Sometimes losing is actually winning" ~ Cheers!
