Mad props to the "Before" pics people

Something I find interesting and actually quite surprising is the fact that people will put up "before" pics of themselves showing their "worst" for all the world to see. I have to say I'm amazed at how many courageous people there are on this website. I am particularly impressed with the mothers out there who have had their bodies altered in all sort of unpleasant ways to bring life into our world. And no I'm not trying to score brownie points. Sadly I wasn't one of the "before" pic people until after I had already lost 20 pounds. I just didn't have that kind of bravery. Anyway, keep it up everyone! Looking forward to seeing the "after" pics because it always seems to keep me focused (except on Thanksgiving).

    Darkling -

Very well worded - my friend! I agree, my hats off to women (like my beautiful wife) for making the ultimate sacrifice to bear children. Each time I gaze into my children's eyes - I appreciate and love my wife that much more for going through what us men would never be able to do! Sorry guys, but you know I'm right on this one.

Yes, all of you brave souls for displaying before and after pics. I admit that at this point - I do not have the courage to post my horror pics!

    Cheers!

I agree. It makes me wish I had more before pics. I basically did all the picture taking so I would not appear in the photos. Worked well to keep me in denial, but now I have little photographic evidence of the progress I have made. I do know my starting measurements, though.

Yeah, all the other folks who so bravely displayed their before pics gave me the courage to put mine up. These are pics that no one else who knows me have ever seen. Kudos to the moms too!

OMG I totally agree. add NATIONAL television to that, and you know how I feel. I bared my soul to the nation two weeks ago when I told my story on TODAY. it was a very VERY emotional process, one that only a few can fully understand.
PROPS to you for noticing how HARD it really is ! :drinker:
