Over-indulging

I just celebrated my birthday (hoorah!) and so over the past few days healthy eating kind of flew out the window. So much cake, alcohol and a fried egg sandwich this morning - eek.
How do you guys get over a few naughty days?? I can't imagine restricting too much is the answer. But would you guys lower your intake a little for a few days? (I usually eat 1200 a day). Or should I just go back to normal and wait until I "flush it out" so to speak? Only 5lbs off my goal. Darn. Gave in to the cake.

Go with your instinct. Go back to your normal routine and enjoy the blissful memories of your birthday. The weight will come back off before you know it.
Happy Birthday to you0 -
if you are at 1200, just go back to regular - and hope you had a good birthday and don't sweat it0

I wouldn't go under 1200 as a daily calorie intake. Maybe just bulk out foods with more veg instead of heavier options and do a little bit more exercise than you'd usually do.
It's only a day or two so it's all good. I would make sure you log it though, just so you've kept track.

Happy Birthday! But yes, just get back to it and make sure you're keeping yourself hydrated.0

Definitely don't worry about it and just go back to normal. I visited home last week and I had a couple of good days and a couple of not so good days. My weight went up only a pound or so, so some of that was just water weight that come off pretty quickly. Days like that won't do you much harm, the harm comes when it lasts a few more days that lead into weeks.0

Haha visiting home is always a diet-killer :P
Thank you all for responding. I felt so guilty considering how well all my friends are doing on here! But I have to say, my friend makes a wonderful Victoria Sponge...I will enjoy the memory.0 -
Go back to normal. If you can eat less, go for it, but otherwise just stick to it and eventually you'll make it up.0
