Protein Pancakes

I've heard people raving on about protein pancakes a lot, but any time I've attempted them I end up with what I can only describe as a banana omlette. The consistency is never right!
Does anyone have a good tried and tested recipe?
I would really appreciate it! Thanks so much.

Oh gosh yes!
I've tried a lot of variations of this

Typically I use a whole egg though.
I've done it with vanilla powder, chocolate powder, vanilla Greek yogurt, regular Greek yogurt, whole wheat flour, all purpose flour... I've found that they are a bit dry if I don't add a bit of milk though (35g or so). The best ones so far is whole wheat pastry flour, vanilla powder,.. then blueberries or chocolate chips. They spread a bit when I flip them, so I have to flip them more a couple times... they are a bit cake-like that way, don't really rise much at all, but DELICIOUS.
And it's a huge serving - typically it makes 8 to 10 pancakes (using a 1/4 cup of batter per pancake), the whole batch was 385 calories yesterday, 43g of protein (then I added syrup and chocolate chips, but still very filling for 625 calories).
I can't say anything good enough about that recipe... try it!0 -

Thank you so much! I really appreciate you sharing! I will try it out tomorrow and let you know how I got on.0 -
Also try pbfingers banana bread protein pancake recipe - Google it.
No protein powder involved, it does come out like a pancake, and tastes nicely of banana, cinnamon, and oats, but it's dense. Personally, I think it needs some baking powder to lighten it up, but haven't gotten around to playing with the recipe yet.0 -

Tried these today and they were AMAZING! Thank you! A very close second best to "true" pancakes... couldn't even finish half and my housemate's boyfriend had a field day on them! It was great, thanks for sharing.0 -

Thanks geeberscreepers for this thread! And thanks Francl27 for the link to the recipe! And thanks to LaurenAOK for the original recipe! :flowerforyou:
Not having had pancakes in a long time, I decided to make these today for lunch.
I used choccolate-coconut protein powder (hence the brown pancakes) and topped them with 100g of fresh strawberry and a 1/2 teaspoon of powdered sugar. I also used a whole egg instead of just the white. They were perhaps a touch dry, so I may add some milk next time around, but they were still freaking awesome. Mine came out at 412 cals with 40 grams of protein. And it was very, very filling for one person!

I must admit when I saw the name of the topic all I could think about was a hamburger patty.0
