Hey, everyone! My name is Lyssa and I am currently trying to lose a lot of weight.
I started at 208, worked my way down to 191 in about a few weeks, but now I am back up at 203 and I don't understand why..
I've been working out every day and eating 1200 a day, healthy stuff too.
Weighing myself one day and seeing 191 and after maybe 3 to 4 days seeing 203 is really bumming me out. Any ideas on what it could be?
I look a bit smaller, I've had to buy a new pair of jeans and currently need to get another small size... I just don't get why I've gained weight.
Oh, and sorry if this topic isn't in the right section. This is my first time posting here.
Hope you're all having good days!

That is a big fluctuation for a few days. Are you certain that your scale is accurate and working properly? Is it a digital scale? If you are female, weight fluctuation during your cycle are normal and unavoidable. Up to 5lbs for me each month. Don't weigh yourself a week before your period and for three days after if scale fluctuations freak you out. Get a tape measure and start measuring your waist, which will help you keep track of the changes that maybe aren't so apparent on the scale. Another key to success is weighing and measuring your food accurately. I hope this helps.0

We don't have a proper scale?
My parents got me Wii Fit years back because I wanted to lose weight then, but never got around to it. I use that to weigh in and it's usually on point.
Friday morning (2/7/2014) before eating, I weighed myself and came in at 191. On Monday (2/10/2014) I was at my friends house and used his scale and got 203. I couldn't believe it so I thought it was just because of the scale. I weighed myself again this morning before eating and got the same number.
But now that you mention weight fluctuation during my cycle.. Could that be it? I got my period that Friday (2/7/2014) Would my weight really increase by almost 10 pounds? And where does the weight come from and will it go away after my period?
I will try to see if my mom has a tape measure. Thank you so much for the reply, and I am sorry about all of the questions! ><0 -

Two different scales, two different calibrations, two different readings. It is entirely possible that your friends scale is calibrated 12lbs off. It would be quite impossible to can 12 lbs in 3 days. Also consider that your clothing adds to your weight.
The best way to compare and track your weight is to keep as many variables as constant as possible. This means using the same scale, weighing at the same time of day, same state of clothing (naked or fully dressed), before or after the bathroom, etc.0 -

I was wearing clothes at my friends house, but when I weighed myself this morning, I was at home, using my scale, naked, which is how I usually weigh myself. I weighed myself in the afternoon at his house. I weigh myself in the morning every week or so before eating breakfast and after I use the bathroom.
I am wondering if it is what user Synamin said, fluctuation in my weight due to my cycle, since I got it that Friday I weighed in at 191. I have felt bloated, but you're right, it doesn't seem possible to gain 12 pounds in such little time, especially with me exercising every day and staying around 1200 calories. Thank you for the reply! I'll make sure to weigh myself on the same scale from now on, before eating, etc. I think that will help a lot0 -
i know you didnt ask about this, but I hope you are eating back your exercise calories. at least some of them if you dont have an HRM. Based solely on your weight, you could most likely get away with eating more calories and still lose.0

I try my best! 1200 calories is the lowest I will eat because I know I need food and energy. The highest I go, with working out, is about 1600 calories, but I usually only eat that much once a week. Is that okay?0
