Clearly a mix, but what do you see most? We are fostering him.

    Cocker Spaniel and Beagle?

Those were my first thoughts too. Could be a beagle Springer spaniel mix depending on the size.

Edited because the pictures didn't come up and I was looking at the profile pic. I'd have to say definitely beagle/cocker is a good guess. Or depending on size, instead of cocker maybe a terrier?

The tan/white coloring, the large wide spaced eyes and floppy ears look like it's part cocker spaniel.

I see the cocker. Was my first thought. Not sure about the beagle guess. Maybe.

Definitely some Spaniel in there ... either Cocker or Springer.
  • I think he looks like he has some Golden in him. Maybe Golden x Cocker?

I've had a lot of Cockers Spaniels..I don't see it, unless he's clipped... those paws are too small, too.

I do see Beagle...but then maybe Lab? Or some type of terrier? Those small feet and skinny legs are throwing me off.

So... we are fostering this guy for the Hound Rescue - a beagle rescue. I always thought he looked more like a spaniel. Took him to the vet today and vet said he's a cocker. Maybe some beagle..

Personality = cocker spaniel for sure.

Yay fostering! My husband and I have talked about doing this. Our major concern is we'd want to keep all of them! We're already up to four cats because we're complete push overs when it comes to animals.

I'm going to agree with the cocker/beagle mix although I totally see the chihuahua legs too....

    AWWWW.. Adorable.

Our guy doesn't act like any beagle I've had. He also does not have the beagle bark.

He's our 2nd foster. Our first guy got adopted two weeks ago. I was super sad, but... seeing how he's thriving in his forever home is so amazing. AND we saved him from death row.

For sure beagle/spaniel mix. As to the fostering question, think about it this way. If you foster you get to host hundreds of dogs through out the years, if you start keeping them you will eventually stop fostering and that would mean that there could possibly be hundreds of dogs put down because they had no where to go before they found their furever home. If you have the mind set it is not your dog, you are just keeping it for a friend, it will be easier. Not saying you will not be sad, but trust me when I say, a good foster parent one of the most important things in the wold of dog loving.
