not feeling satisfied?? what do you do?

Sometimes I feel like I'm "missing something". I'm not sure if this is merely me wanting to eat more for no reason, or that I may be missing out on a macronutrient or micronutrient? My diet is balanced with fruits, veggies, and lean meats. I don't consume wheat or many grains and also only a small amount of dairy. Should I drink more water and ignore the feeling?

are you talking about after a portioned meal and you still feel like eating something? This happens to me all the time when i'm dieting down. I usually like chugging a bunch of diet pop like root beer, which is pretty satisfying and fills you up. I also like to eat a ton of lettuce with seasoning and vinegar or calorie free walden farms dressings. I also will throw a a piece of sugar free hard candy(brachs butterscotch) to keep my mouth occupied.

Do you allow yourself a treat once in a while? Was it that you were able to enjoy a larger variety of foods before that you don't allow yourself to now?

If it's persistent hunger, I try to make sure I'm drinking enough water since thirst can actually be mistaken for hunger. But sometimes if I've got nagging hunger that impedes my ability to work or sleep, I'll have a light snack, often something bulky like a rice cake but with some lean cheese or meat.

Pretty much yes. I actually tried the lettuce thing tonight and I can't say that I am full or hungry, somewhere in the middle which is good. But something in my head is like "something is missing". Could just be me getting used to not feeling a little more full than normal.

I drink water and ignore it. It happens at night when I love to snack. Just gotta ignore the cravings or try really hard ;)
