What is an "unsafe" food?0

Like..... foods you place into an actual safe??
I'm a bit confused by your question.
Or by 'safe' do you mean 'healthy'? If that's what you mean, I choose to not demonize foods. I have not cut out a single food from my diet. I just use moderation and work it into my day. And to that, I say Ice cream is my favorite. Have it every single day.0 -
Stop is my safe wo... oh, you said 'safe foods'.
What in the hell does that even mean?0 -

If you mean foods that are "safe" to eat - all foods are safe to eat unless you are allergic to some ingredient. Learn to eat a balanced diet of all foods in moderation. This way when you reach your goal weight - you won't go crazy eating the "unsafe" foods and gain all your weight back.0

"safe" = feeling confident that the nutrition info is fairly correct so I can log it! Sadly, this may mean may on occasion that a packaged food feels "safer" than a homemade dinner that someone else prepared or anything not from a chain.0 -

Wondering about this too. My "safe" food is potato. You can't go wrong with potatoes.

The safe word is banana.
Ha, and there is a banana in the ad on the sidebar. Nice.0 -
Do you mean foods I return to over and over because they're a nutritional and/or calorie bargain and I like to eat them? If so, here are some things I keep stocked:
Vegetable soups and vegetarian chili (I make them and freeze them in one- or two-serving freezer bags), boneless skinless chicken, frozen shrimp, eggs, Greek yogurt, spinach, hot cocoa mix, tea, hummus, cut up vegetables, cottage cheese, all kinds of fruit (whatever is on sale--I use it for green smoothies, which I love in the morning), beans (black, pinto, chickpeas, cannellini), tomatoes...0 -
Please explain what you mean by "safe foods."0

I am going to assume (probably correctly) that OP suffers from an eating disorder. And by safe foods, She means foods youve deemed ok to eat. Like some anorexics will pick white bread and oranges as safe foods. But others its eggs and apples. For random example.
OP, if you do have an eating disorder, please seek help.
Do not let this disease ruin your life.0 -

Yep, this. And the avatar image is sort of a giveaway, no offence.
'Safe' foods is a term most often used by those with or trying to recover from an eating disorder.
I do not have 'safe' foods, I simply feel more comfortable and healthy when I eat a diet that is not too high in processed food.0 -
All my foods are unsafe because I like to live dangerously.0

people with EDs refer to certain foods as 'safe' food usually they are fibrous vegetables or something like no fat yoghurt or whatever helps them to pretend they are eating all day whilst not actually taking in any substantial calories
OP: if you start to think of safe food it's time to seek professional help0 -
