Wait... you're 'horrified' because people have medical conditions and television networks carry ads for products intended to help them continue to live full and normal lives? Grow up.

As someone who has volunteered with the elderly, I know bladder dysfunction is a common problem. I also have a dear friend who is 27 and suffers from multiple sclerosis. He has a gorgeous wife, an adorable 2 year old son, is training for a half marathon, and has bladder dysfunction when his MS flares up. There is nothing shameful or masculine about the condition, and they aren't 'maxi pads.'

I'm just shocked that a 43 year old man would feel such shock and horror over such a common medical condition. Maybe they should stop advertising diapers for babies, too? I mean... it's kind of the same thing.

Pretty sure it wasn't the product but the way the messages are being delivered. They're trying to macho up products that really can't be. Just say look you have this problem, try this product. I don't know why they have to go through all that trouble to make mini-soap operas just to push products anyway. And honestly, if people took better care of themselves they wouldn't have these problems with their manhood or any other part of their body. It's just another way to keep us victims and dependent on corporations. No, that's not saying people who are injured and end up with problems have much control over that, I'm simply referring to those who do have a choice in what they eat and do but continue to make bad ones and then suffer the medical consequences of it.

The times they are a changing and people are starting to wake up from their food induced comas and start to demand answers as to why they're not living the happy healthy lives they're promised on tv ads. Bee Happy, Bee Healthy... really? by eating GMO laiden overprocessed grain products everyday for breakfast? no thank you.

I posted this as a way to poke fun at THE COMMERCIAL, not the medical problem that prompted the development of the product.

I believe most people know what Depends are. I've always seen them marketed in a different way than I saw today. Then suddenly there's a famous football player yelling at everyone to guard their manhood with this product. And I found the presentation ridiculous, so I commented on it.

So thanks for taking the humor out of the post you big wet blanket party pooper. I put this in the Chit Chat FUN and Games forum for a reason. If I was commenting on the medical condition I would have put it somewhere else.

Oh, and I'd be fine if I never saw any more equally ridiculous ads for tampons where some young girl pulls a WHOLE FREAKING BOX of tampons right out of her purse while smiling right at the camera. Yea, that's realistic isn't it? No, but it's funny to think about the ridiculousness of it.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised, but I am.

I had the unfortunate experience this morning of seeing Tony Siragusa in a commercial for Depends telling us to "Guard Your Manhood" with these ... things that I guess could best be described as maxi pads for men. I was horrified! Right there in plain sight on ESPN's Sunday morning programming.

I feel like I have to turn off ESPN forever now. It's been getting progressively worse and worse for a while now, starting with ads for "Male Enhancement", and now this.

I'm done with you ESPN, and all your talking about your problems with your junk. I've had it and I'm moving on.
