Current: Receptionist with a little Human Resources, Marketing and such mixed in
Dream: Either Computer or Software Engineer - something in that field

I'm in school working towards my dream. Recently went back to school and am working on all my maths (hated math in high school, now I find it mildly interesting and almost pleasant. I even enjoy it occasionally now. If you told me this would be the case years ago, I would've laughed in your face and asked if you were high), so I have a lot of time to figure out which. Leaning towards Computer Science, though. Average starting salary is a little less than the others, but I'll still be able to support myself and live comfortably if I decide to expand on my education afterwards.

Grew up working with, dismantling and building computers since my grandmother worked with a CAD company and my mother always had programming language books and manuals lying around. I used to try things out and play with languages out of boredom, never having any idea what I could really do with them, but it was interesting to create little things and mess with code. Most of what I learned then is obsolete, of course, but the fear and intimidation I'd feel if I had no experience whatever with anything along those lines isn't there.

At present it looks like I'll be going into the field to earn about as much as my grandfather earned near his retirement, which is scary as he's on a fixed income, so I might be able to even help my grandparents, who've done so much for me over my life, out a bit as they age, which would be lovely.

I wanted to do graphic special effects in movies in Orlando or Hollywood. I also wanted to be a princess, a supermodel, and a lawyer. Graphics is the most realistic, and closest to my actual job.
