Modified P90x Workout to meet my needs?

Hi Guys.

I have finished week 7 of P90X. I find it quite boring. Mainly because I like running and have always loved doing HIIT on my treadmill or outside when the weather is nice. I have a 1K track around the block from me that I love to use when the snow is gone.

I have different goals than what P90X offers. I want to drop more pounds instead of what P90X is doing. I prefer mostly cardio but I do like tightening up some of the main muscles. I created my own schedule with some of the P90X videos. What do you guys think of this?

HIIT 10-12 intervals - 30s run @ 90% intensity then 45s walk/jog.

    I would get rid of kenpo and add in another resistance day.

    Yea, I thought about that, Kenpo is one of my favorite exercises so I tried to squeeze it in there, I could probably remove a HIIT and put a kenpo in there since it's high intensity cardio as well. I loveeee Kenpo!

    Replace one of the hiit for kenpo. Also, I suspect your hiit will be used for leg workouts? Right now its all upper body. I would actuly think adding lower body one day and cutting hiit to 2 days will provide better balance.
