I crave something sweet every day.

I also eat something sweet every day (usually chocolate). I just try to leave room for it in my calorie goal.

I love sweets. Key for me is to keep the portions small or realistic to what a portion really is (a true portion of ice cream isn't a big giant bowl) I use a food scale to weigh things like ice cream if I'm having any, or I'll limit chocolate to smaller amounts. Things like ice cream bars or smaller packages with set portions (like Skinny Cow) are also helpful as well.

I'm also a big fan of lighter hot chocolate drinks, that seems to really close out the meal and put any lingering cravings to rest.

I eat berries when I get a craving. One of my favourite things is warmed up berries with french vanilla greek yogurt.
  • Thanks everyone for the advise. I'm trying to eat dark chocolate instead of milk chocolate. I figure it's better.
As for the fruit. I love it !! I like to eat healthy foods too so I guess that's a plus :)

I love sweets also, so I figure out how to work them into my daily calorie goal! Every day I eat something sweet because I don't want to deprive myself and end up bingeing later.

I read a study that said eating something sweet for breakfast would curb cravings, so I started adding 1 tablespoon of Nutella to either plain greek yogurt or to my oatmeal. It's only about 60 calories for a tablespoon! Or I will have a sugar free dark chocolate pudding cup, about 60 calories. Or I eat dark chocolate. And after I workout I usually have a protein shake with chocolate protein powder, then will add 1 tablespoon peanut butter and vanilla almond milk... tastes like a Reese's!

Obviously I don't eat ALL those sweets in one day, but doing one of those things per day (or two!) certainly helps. There are tons of recipes out there to make brownies or cookies with "healthy" ingredients and most of them are pretty tasty!
