Feeling weird about a NSV

I don't usually post topics, but I just really needed to share.
I just touched the sides of my body, and realized I have nothing to grab. I've always had love handles, always. But apparently not anymore.
At first I felt really proud, but than I pretty much freaked out. I just felt like I wasn't myself anymore, because in a way, being overweight had always defined me.
Did anyone else ever experience this?

The last time I lost weight (before putting it back on unfortunately) I noticed that I could feel my clavicle and more of my wrist bones. It really freaked me out. It took me forever to get used to it.

If being overweight has always defined you, then it's about time for a new definition.

Dictionaries get updated every year. Introducing the Noamsh dictionary, newly revised for 2014!

Not exactly that but I do believe that we all carry a mental picture of ourselves in our head. Mine was of a guy who was overweight by 50 pounds. When I first lost weight, I would freak out a little each time I passed a mirror or saw a picture of myself. I've been on maintenance going on two years and I'm just beginning to change the picture in my mind.

I can totally relate, confused as to the pain I get sometimes because I'm leaning on a bone like my hip that used to be cushioned with fat!

And seeing how angular my hands look.... Or seeing a gap between my thighs for the first time in 22years!
