Mother Runners?

Looking for other Mother Runners (or an other busy mamas!) out there. I have 2 young boys and will start training for my second half marathon next month...and I work full time as an RN. After my first half, I let myself go during a hectic job change and now have 40+ to lose. Learning to put myself as a priority in the midst of a busy life!

I guess I would call myself a mother-runner-in-training. I have 5 kids (ages 2-14) and am training right now for a 5-7 mile obstacle course run this spring and then my first half marathon next winter! It really inspires me to see my daughter run cross country. I can't wait for it to warm up so we can run outside together again.

I just had my 3rd (and last) baby last Sept. I'm training for my first full marathon. I am up to 11 miles on long runs. :)

Mother Runners--made me laugh!! I have four kids: 9, 13, 16, and 18 and work full time as an educational consultant. I am just starting to train for my first half marathon. I'm not a natural runner, so it has been hard work! Friend me if you'd like! :)

I was built more for sprinting and until the last couple years, I thought running over a mile on purpose was nuts! You can totally do this!

I a mom of 2 little girls and started in Jan. training for my 1st half in April. I've only been running for about a year consistently. Before that I had ever excuse in the book to not go to the gym. Feel free to friend me...I'm always looking for others to help with accountability!

<--- Started running when the boys were 3 and 4 years old. Now they are 10 and 11. It is still hard to fit in my runs with their activities, their needing help with homework, working full time, and taking care of the house. My mother guilt is a hot mess sometimes :)

Edited to add: half marathon coming up in May, FIRST full marathon (!!!) this October!! Time to get running like Forrest Gump!

Awesome to hear from all the Mamas out there! Here's to a great race season! (if only the snow would melt and it would warm up here!)

What races are you training for? I'm doing a half this spring and a few 5 and 10ks sprinkled in there.

I'm another mother runner. :) I have four kids (16, 14, 12, and 8) and started running about 2.5 years ago. I've done two half marathons and would love to do a full if I can ever stay healthy. I was signed up to do the Savannah Rock and Roll last November but had to pull out because of a bad hip. I'm a slow runner but running has become my therapy. I just joined here to try to be accountable for what I eat.
