Hip Hop Abs

I'm currently trying to decide whether to start using 'hip hop abs'.

I don't currently do any proper exercise.. and I'm pretty desperate to lose some weight...I've tried diets but none seem to work for me...

If you have any tips/advice or reviews of this product it will be much appreciated!!

I tried it on youtube...I found the constant tilt and tuck motion kind of repetitive and I didn't like it very much. But you should still try it because everyone has different tastes. Don't get discouraged! I find weight loss can be trial and error in finding out which workouts you enjoy and are effective, and finding out which foods are filling and give you enough energy for your workouts. Just keep trying different things and don't give up!

Then you're doing it wrong. Hip hop abs will make 0 difference if your intake isn't in check. You can't out-exercise a bad diet.

Try changing your mindset of thinking of it as a "Diet". You set yourself up for failure doing that. It is a lifestyle change. Think of food as fuel for your body...because it is. Set up a simple goal like 5 lbs.,, then 10, and so on. It won't seem so unattainable then.
As for Hip Hop abs...I haven't used it, but have used Rockin Body, which I love. It is a high energy fun cardio workout. You can always start off with walking 30 minutes per day. You just have to start and you will begin seeing results.
    Welcome aboard and good luck!
  • can anybody tell me what you would put hiphop abs down as in your exercise diary? Neither that or Insanity appear to be options and I have no idea how many calories for an estimate you would burn doing these. would be good to have some sort of idea so I can log I am doing excercise.

Agreed - if you know what you are doing, what you are eating etc....
*kitten* over a modern day 1980's aerobic with the updated version of Jane Fonda and "no diets working" is just setting yourself up...

  • I did laugh at the "waste of time" comment! I am trying to alternate this with Insanity for a bit of variety and break from doing Insanity each day as it is hard going.
