Gastric bypass....On a new journey

Hi, I'm Annie. I had the Gastric Bypass on 12/9/13, and I am hoping that Myfitnesspal will help me keep track of things. I am 48 yrs old, I have 3 children and 14 grandchildren. I am excited about this new life I am living now.

Good for you!! Way to take charge of your life! I have only been doing this for about a week and a half and I can can see how it works, by actually putting the effort into researching what you are eating, and seeing the calories/fat of things it really holds you accountable for what you are putting in your body.. I can see how it will help!

I hope it works for you!

Thank you for the encouraging words. I'm glad you have had success with MFP, I hope I have the same. I started out at 319lbs and now am 256lbs. I need to keep track of what I put in my mouth and how much exercise I do, so I am looking forward to meeting new ppl who are on their journey as well and hopefully we can encourage and help each other out!

    Welcome to MFP!

I can tell you from experience that MFP works. I have used it for several years and am now losing weight again after pregnancy. You will find a lot of support here.
