PREGNANCY & Calories?

I left the site, second time it happens to me, well, second time I let this happen to me. I had gone down to 183 and now, I'm at 189, not bad, I think, but STILL. I found out I'm pregnant & I'm very happy. I lost a baby this year so all of the weight loss situation wasn't CLEAR, it had many downs - so, now that I'm pregnant I want to stay healthy. I went online and it's telling me to eat 2010 calories a day for now?! It's a lot, but I haven't counted calories in over 4 months so ... we'll see how this goes. I don't want to gain more than the 25 lbs that I should so tracking things here will do.
I'm happy, it's time to eat healthy again. I can't believe it, I always do this, do good and then, when I get close to my prize I fall. I fail. It's the stupidest thing ever, I do so good, I start feeling good and then... SOMETHING makes me fall. I get so comfortable that I start over eating, slowly stop exercising and then ... BAM! I start gaining... and it's all back to square ONE. Ugh... my life time battle. Well, I know I shouldn't worry so much this time, over gaining weight, but I do want to gain ONLY what I'm expected to. I wanted this baby so much so I guess the break was needed. I'm pretty sure I'm having a boy, so... then I can focus on getting to my GOAL. No exceptions. I swear. I'm done worrying about being BIG. As soon as my baby comes out my body will CHANGE, for their best and mine.
Yey!

I thought you only needed 300 extra calories when you are pregnant (hence why it's important to NOT eat for 2) so maybe that is 2000 calories at your weight. I'll let the mom's chime in and see if I'm right.0

You could just ask your doctor.
and Congratulations.0 -
1) I would check out Fit Pregnancy online- they have some sample menus that contain well rounded nutritiousness and hit higher calorie counts
2) 300 calories is about what you need for the 1st trimester- at 180-190 lbs she would burn roughly 17-1800 calories a day of sedentary lifestyle (BMR would show it lower, because that is what your body burns just by fueling and breathing- so its like what you would burn sleeping or at rest 24 hrs. ) So +300 its roughly the right range
3) You should ask your doctor for a specific calorie amount, since you are starting your pregancy above your goal weight- that can affect how much weight it is healthy to gain and at what pace.0 -
