Your BMR is about 1620 KCal.
10 Miles run would burn about 1070 KCal. Walked would burn 830 KCal

If you ate 1300 KCal and ran every day, the answer would be too many.
If you walked every day and ate 1200 KCal, the answer would be too many.

IF you ran every day and ate 2300 KCal, you'd lose about 2 lbs per week
If you walked every day and ate 2000 KCal, you'd lose about 2 lbs per week

10 miles running can vary from say 1,100 to 1,400 depending on speed.

    Walking around 80 per mile.

Assuming that is net calories then it doesn't really matter as you should be refueling yourself. If this is about how much to refuel yourself by, then measure it using an HRM or a smartphone app like runkeeper or endomondo.

If you are new to running, I would not suggest running this distance as you will likely develop an injury. If you are a seasoned experienced runner, not sure that running 10 miles a day 7 days a week is very healthy. Most runners will have a day or two for recovery during the week.

No, it doesn't. Calories burned is dependent on 2 things - mass and distance. I burn 0.72 KCal/mile/lb independent of pace.
According to http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22446673 and http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/15570150, most humans burn 0.72 KCal/mi/lb.
10 miles can burn between 540 KCal (for a 75lb woman/kid) to 2160 KCal (for a 300 lb person) INDEPENDENT of speed

According to the same studies, humans burn 0.57 KCal/mi/lb

I looked at you post history and you really need to learn to eat well and exercise in moderation. You are still young and you are going to have your body for a very long time. Treat it well. Running 10 miles a day on very few calories is not treating your body well. A month ago you were posting that you were 183 lbs and now you say you are at 170 lbs. 13 lbs in a month is pretty extreme.

Let me repeat: Be nice to your body, it's the only one you are ever going to have!

I weigh between 175 to 180-lbs and burned 1400 calories running 10 miles in 37'F weather. I realize we may run at different speeds or one of us may be a more efficient runner, but I wanted to share that info to help answer your question.

    Hope this helps.

an ok baseline for running is 100 calories per mile. Walking is slightly less
A better (but not perfect) estimate is 0.63 x bodyweight x miles ran

The real question is: how many weeks of running 10 miles a day and only eating 1300 calories before you entirely burn out (assuming this is total and not net)?

I know you don't want a lecture, but if you're not planning on eating those cals back, take it from someone who has done this before: STAHP. Eat. Fuel your runs.

Any reasoned response to the two topics you started within five minutes will result in a lecture. If you want honest, healthy advice get prepared to hear things you probably don't want to. If all you want is somebody to validate poor decisions, this is probably the wrong place.
  • thank you every body and i was asking about the running as i would just like to know personally i wont run 10 mile, i cant run 1 lol, but walking 10 mile is much easier to me as i walk 3 to 4 miles at work and built it up, i dont track my calories really, i eat very well i use that as an example i eat to much yesterday i ate pizza, my nans bday cake, chicken, pasta ... alot im fine with the eating side i no im eating to much i just dont no what calories are in what im eating when i home make half of the things i eat, and i did want honestly so thank you ! and thanks to every body who has commented i really appreciate it xxxx

i will only do it around 4 times a week though x

At your size, running 10 miles will burn about 1100 calories. You will *not* be able to do that more than a few times if you eat only 1200 calories. And you will do serious physical damage to your body in the process.

Walking that distance would burn about 500 calories. You'll be able to maintain that longer, but will just as inevitably flame out eating that little.

If you are not used to running, it will be years of building up your stamina and strength before you are at a point where you can run 10 miles several times per week. If you are on a very low calorie diet, chances are you will never manage it. So the question is just pointless.
