    What career did you dream of as a kid?

      Even when the word was bigger than I was I really wanted to be a paleontologist. I had tons and tons of books about dinosaurs and loved watching all the documentaries.

      I am now studying to become a Spanish teacher in English speaking countries.

      My daughter declared that she wanted to be an archaeologist at 4 years old. It took me weeks to figure out what she was trying to say. However, these days, she is planning on joining the navy.

      I wanted to become a Police Officer. (Got the degree at 19 and everything but my personality was wrong for it....emotions not the best then and would probably cave to sob stories too frequently)

      Wanted to be an astronaut! My father was really excited about this because it was what HE wanted to do when he was a child..........then he told me I'd have to be good in math. *cricket cricket* I'm not talking college algebra or statistics, I'm talking calculus and physics. End of dream.

      I'm a registered dietitian in a small rural community based hosiptal. I'm working to gain certification as a diabetes educator. Now my dream is to work with an endocrinologist to set up a diabetes education program through his/her practice. I do love to talk about and teach nutrition for diabetes!

      **side note: I looooove to plan events and people always compliment parties that I put together and tell me I should do that for a living. I think I would love it but I and terrified to step out on a ledge like that. Maybe I'll lean that way as I get closer to retirement. :)

      The Veterinarian seems to be a very common childhood dream.
      My husband wanted to be a veterinarian and now does construction.

      As a child, I wanted to be a midwife. However, when I watched a woman go to jail for life because a baby she was trying to deliver died, I was scared to do it.

      I now really want to be a Guardian Ad Litem for the court but realize this may never happen. I might go for Foster Care Agent.
      I will return to school someday.

      I currently am a merchandiser for Associated Foods and a substitute at my daughter's school.
