I have been using the calories burned from the MFP exercise database. It varies greatly with the calories burned on the machines at the gym, (treadmill, bike, and elliptical). Without a Heart Rate Monitor, which is the best method to use to estimate calories burned? Any ideas?

In my experience, MFP really overestimates. If you're using the HRMs built into the machines, and take the time to enter your age, weight, height, etc, they're going to give you a better estimate.0
