me - alcoholic cheating dad, depressed non-caring mom.... continues to this day. i've never had parental support in my life. neither parent tries to contact me (even when i make effort)

    Support from my mother? Ha. No. Never. Don't care, she had her issues, but she's still my mom and I love her.

    My mum is the most supportive person ever :) and yes sometimes she says stuff she shouldn't! But she's my fav person in the world!

    My dad.. Use to say "pop" whenever I ate something as a child. Still does! And when I bring this up everyone laughs and goes "ohh it was only a joke"! For who???

    I'm very lucky I had a very loving and supportive family growing up.

    Unfortunately I know not all parents are like this, and it does make me feel sad why a parent wouldn't put their children first. And love the socks off their kids. Man I could eat mine ( term of endearment)!

    But one day they won't be there and that really hurts :frown:
