Question about Orthorexia

I am not sure if this question belongs in this forum. If not, please someone feel free to tell me and/or move it. Thanks.

Does Orthorexia involve being particular about how ones food is laid out or cut up or placed in the plate? And, does it involve being overly concerned about the way or order in which food items or eaten? Or does it just have to do with what an individual will and will not eat?

I am asking because while I don't purposely avoid any types of foods like in the standard definition of Orthorexia, I am slightly obsessed with the way my foods are laid out, cut up and with the order of how I choose to eat them. This isn't harming me in any way thus far. It's almost like a routine that I have for certain food items and eating them a certain way or in a certain order.

Any thoughts on this?

Thanks!

I don't think that's Orthorexia, but it does sound a little like OCD. Real OCD, not the "I like all my stuff clean, I have OCD lol" you hear people say all the time. If you don't stick to your routine and order, does it effect the way you feel? Like if you were served food, or someone made food and you weren't able to eat it in the order you wanted, would you be able to eat at all? I would be concerned if its causing you anxiety, or you feel it going into other aspects of your life. You could always talk to a psychiatric professional, since it could develop into more of a problem.
