advice needed regarding water and exercise

Last week i put on 1lb, after reading on here i believe tgat was probably just water weight as i had ate under my calorie goal everyday. Last week i also burned around 500 cals per day (mfp calculations so probably bit less) but i did not eat all these cals back. I also never drank as much water as i probably should have. I was not worried about the 1lb gain.
This week i have upped my water intake to 3litres per day, i have also, due to an injury, not exercised apart from light walking and since monday the scales have dropped 2.5lb (i am weighing at same time everyday). I have ate the same this week as last.
How much water (in litres please) should i be drinking a day?
Would burning too many calories on a 1200 calorie allowance stop me loosing weight?

So you're eating a total of 1200 calories, and exercising 500 calories that you don't eat back.
Without knowing more details, it'd be hard for me to say. But in general, if you're sticking with 1200/day in calories, I'd suggest eating back at least half of the exercise calories you think you burn. Just a nice glass of chocolate milk after the workout would help do it.
But if you wanted to open up your diary to us, post your weight, height, age, BMR, TDEE, etc., people here will give you all kinds of great advice.
EDIT TO ADD: For water, unless you sweat a lot working out, 2L should be a goodly amount of water. But if you're sweating enough during your workout to need more water per day, then you might want to consider how you're replacing the electrolytes you lost, too. It's not too complex. Just that sometimes you need more than straight H2O to get your salts back up where they need to be. Depends on how much sodium you eat. But like I said, we can't see your diary.0 -

Click on the 'My home' at the top of the page
Then click 'settings' to the far right
Then click diary settings and scroll down to the bottom where it will give you options about making your diary public, private, or friends only
