Activity Trackers (Polar Loop)

Ok so i recently impulsed bought a Polar Loop over the weekend. Im changing over from a polar ft4 heart rate monitor watch.. unfortunately the strap for the ft4 doesnt work on the Polar Loop so hopefully my h7 sensor will arrive today. Anyone else who has the Polar Loop... what do you like about it, and what do you not like? To me...
Pro:Looks nice and is fairly comfy to wear. Nice display once you get used to pressing the button
Con:No Android app (i have a gs4), the polar flow website doesnt give sleep detail like the iphone app does, I think it doesnt give you enough activity credit for workouts that dont involve constant motion of your arms (ie weight lifting, planks, etc... even though a HRM would tell me otherwise).
So far, i like it and its full of potential, but im fairly underwhelmed.
Additional question: If you have it, what is your average daily goal percentage on NON-GYM days? I cant seem to pass 60% and it seems that everyone who surpasses it, do so on gym days. I plan to kill that goal today at the gym though!

I recently got an H7 for use with my phone (GS3). I bought it specifically because it works with my phone, it works with the app I use to track my cycling, and because it would pair with the Loop should I choose to get that down the road. Right now I use the H7 to track my calories while doing my strength training as well as the cardio I do immediately after lifting.
I'd been looking pretty seriously at the Fitbits, but it seemed kind of pointless to get something like that when it didn't/doesn't track your heart rate during exercise.
I think until Polar puts out the Android app, I'm going to wait on getting the loop.0 -
Yeah the lacking in Android is a serious bummer. I finally used the Loop with a H7 heartrate monitor and it worked beautifully like with my HT4 polar watch, but because there isnt an android app yet, i had to wait till i got home to check the breakdown for my workout through the computer. Polar says they should have an android app in March/April 2014 so i look forward to that.0

As activity trackers go, im happy with this purchase. Personally i think every activity tracker out on the market has flaws, but if i had to choose only one, im glad i went with the Loop. For optimal experience, its best to have a bluetooth (i have a h7) hrm and an iphone. I like that i can shower and swim with it on, and paired wth a HRM you can see a more accurate count during your workouts. A slight learning curve is needed but i went from an intial "blehhh" rating to "ooh like it" in just a matter of days0

You know you can use the Polar Beat app with your H7 on your Android, right?
there isn't an app for the loop, but there is for hte H7.0 -
So supposedly the H7 only works with Android 4.3 so it may depend on which phone you have and the OS version. I have not been able to update my Galaxy S3 yet. I've been stealing (I mean borrowing) my kids iphones and it works great!
Edit to add...jjking did you update your OS on your GS3?0 -

You're correct ... it does require the update to 4.3, I forgot that.
Yeah ... VZW pushed that update to me (SURPRISINGLY) a month or so ago I think. Glad they did, just didn't expect it.0 -

Interesting...I have VZW too but no update. And when I try to update it tells me to come back when service is online but it never seems to be. Maybe it's just something with my phone and I should give them a call. Glad it's working well for you!0 -

I think my update was about a month ago ... at least. Completely out of the blue, I was at work so I was on their network and not WiFi ... I'd give them a call and find out what the hold up is0 -
i didnt... im gonna download it right now. I have a GS4, thanks for the heads up!0
