Sick after Eating

I've been really great on my menu plan for about 3 months now. Not going off plan at all. So last night, I had a business dinner to attend. I ate still on plan, but I did have a piece of cheesecake at the end of the meal. I didn't go over my calories or carbs. I haven't had wheat, dairy, or processed sugar in months.
Today, I'm really ill. My stomach is upset, my intestines are unhappy with me and I'm just feeling yucky. No fever or body aches, so don't think it's viral.
Would this be related to an "off diet" meal?

I had a McMuffin with Sausage and egg one day and spent half the day at the toilet! Not used to the high fat foods!0

I would say yes... I had the same experience with a cheeseburger about a month ago. If you've been eating really clean, your body wuoldn't be "ready" for something rich and sugary and fatty like cheesecake (mmmm...). I've heard that if you don't consume dairy for a while you start to "lose" your lactose-digesting enzymes, although I'm not sure how long it takes to induce this, but the upset stomach/GI tract sounds a bit like lactose intolerance to me.
Hope you're feeling better soon!0 -

There was probably some preservatives, MSG or something "hidden" in the foods you ate that have made you feel ill.0 -
Anything high in protein, fat, or dairy that you haven't had in a while will cause your tummy to do flip flops.0

I've had that a few times myself. My doctor said for me it was the food. Told me to pick up some probiotic's to help with digestion. They really helped.0

I would normally say yes, but I just had a stomach bug that didn't give me any other symptoms than the nausea and a little headache. If you still feel a little uneasy tomorrow, then it might be the bug. Still it could have just been the foods. Switching things so drastically can definitely do that to you. So I'd say watch the next time you have something similar (which now that you have felt so horrible, you may not ever want to do again) and try easing yourself into it.0

I had that issue when I went to my husbands grandparents for the weekend. With all the goodies they had I ate WAY too many cookies...gained a pound AND was sick the Sunday all the way home. Next day I was fine. Stupid yummy sweets...ugh.0

Well first hope you start to feel better! I've had reactions to 'off diet' foods also. Might be like another person said the fat content?0
