Lose baby tummy

I had a baby ten months ago, lost all my baby weight 2 weeks after birth (still need to lose 30 pounds) but my belly is not anything what it was.

If you're referring to loose, wrinkly skin, I don't think it goes back without surgery.

If you're referring to the odd amount of poofinesd/your original core/waistline, give it a couple more months. My body seemed to "snap back" to very close to its original shape around 12-14 months after having my baby.

If you're referring to actual fat stored in your midsection, you'll just have to eat at a deficit. Fat comes off where it wants to and rarely where you'd like it to. 35ish lbs down from having my little one, and I'm "normal" everywhere except my hips and thighs. I have lost most of my stomach, though, which is nice because I've never had anything close to a flat stomach.

Lastly, if you're looking to do extra, you can always build the muscle underneath by strength training. I used Starting Strength (a book that I found on Amazon), so that when you do lose the additional pounds, you'll have a little muscle to admire.

    Does this help?
  • Same thing here. I've been breastfeeding for 19 months now, and this has been keeping me from getting into a full on diet, but I guess that the time has come!

Thanks. Yeah I don't have the wrinkly skin, I seem to have all this extra tummy that wasn't there before. Like a muffin top that shouldn't be there, it wasn't there before at this weight. I'm guessing my muscles are all flabbed out.
