Juicing newbie here. I recently mixed kale, spinach, blueberries, carrots, and coconut water together, which I really enjoyed.
Do you guys have any interesting combos you'd like to share?

not much for juicing - I like smoothies better - but I did notice sometimes juices turn out overly sweet and I tend to add a lemon to the mix (a combo of apple and carrot is always way too sweet for me)0

^^ Smoothie recipes welcome as well.0

I juiced today spinach, celery, carrot, ginger, parsley, sweet potato, a small red beet, half lime and half a lemon. It made just under 400 ml, and it tastes great. I am not sue how to enter this juice to count calories though? Does anyone have any idea?0

My basic smoothie recipe is:
150 g of any combination of berries and cherries
30 g frozen blueberries
30-50 g leafy green usually spinach or kale but anything you like
1 tsp hemp hearts
1 tsp flax seed
1 tsp flax oil
1/2 cup coconut water
vanilla protein powder (if a meal replacement but I leave it out if the smoothie is a snack)
I also opt to throw in when the mood hits:
half a banana
fresh pineapple
basically any fruit you like or you could add some of your fresh juices
This one is delish:
1/4 cup coconut water
1/2 frozen banana
1/2 small avocado
70 g pineapple (fresh or frozen)
1/2 cup spinach or any green of your choice
juice from half a lime
I found it a little thick so I just added some water to it but you could add more coconut water or some fresh juices if you like0 -
My favorite is orange juice and vodka.
Tomato juice and vodka.0 -
My fav juice recipe is...
> Kale - approx 6-10 leaves
> Spinach - approx 10-12 leaves
> Cabbage - a small wedge (great detox benefits and doesn't have an overpowering taste)
> Carrots - 2
> Apples - 2 small or 1 large
Makes about a glass worth of juice and it comes out kind of brownish because of the carrots and apples so I cant really call it a green drink but I like the taste. Some people find it too sweet...
Depending on how I feel I will add
> Strawberries 2-3 for taste
> Lemon - 1/2 peeled if I want it a little more tart
> Ginger - sometimes I will add a TINY bit but I don't like the taste. It is a great anti-inflammatory so I use it if I am feeling achy0 -
The recipes sound great0

I'm wondering this too!
Edit: All these recipes sound delicious, by the way.0 -
I have a nutribullet and juice when I don't have time for food prep. I just add whatever is in the recipe and make it a meal on MFP0

My favorite is the mean green juice featured on Fat Sick and nearly Dead.
7 kale leaves
2 cucumbers
2 celery sticks
2 apples
Fresh ginger (I use a thumb size use less for less kick)
1/2 lemon, rind removed
I love to make this for breakfast when I have time. Great start to the day0 -
I prefer to juice some stuff and blend others to keep a little of the fiber.
I blend:
1 banana
1/2 large tomato
1/2 peeled cucumber
70g blueberries
70g mango
I juice while thats blending:
3/4 bunch lacinato kale
1.5 celery stalk
2-3 carrots
1 each red apple and granny smith
1 large beet
1-2 oranges
Then mix all together. I will juice the beet greens if they are nice and throw in other stuff thats around if I have it like pineapple, tangerines, fresh ginger, whatever else I have0 -
I keep it simple. The best juice I've ever had is FRESH carrot apple juice. My mother used to make it for me when I was young and I practically begged for it! I don't have a juicer so now and then I go to Juice Shack and ask them to make it.0

Hi, I found a listing for vegetables juiced and plunked my juice recipe under that category. It seemed to have pretty much what I had put into my juice, give or take a few items0

I have a nutribullet, so I'm not really juicing, but my favorite is 2 cups kale, one cup frozen peaches, 1 scoop vanilla protein powder, water to max fill line. It is soooo good and filling.0

That sounds great charlotte. I will have to try this recipe. I love protein shakes also. Thanks.0
