How many grams of protein is in a boneless 8 oz ribeye steak? Every single listing is so different ranging from 30g-60g, which one is correct!

That's hard to calculate. Mostly the meat that I buy now I look at the nutrition info on the package. Also, lately I've only been buying Chicken because beef is a bit too high in fat.
So I take a look at the little nutrition chart on the package, then work with my food scale. So far the chicken servings are in 4 oz for a single serving. Just me eating 4oz of chicken is actually quite filling.
Anyways, for things like that, I try to only stick to stuff that has the nutrition info on it. If it doesn't, I usually stay away from it. Some other people on here may know more about meat than I though.0 -
Anyone here that has info on protein counting for meats?0

I am sure it depends on the cut. And the way it is cooked. Meat loses a lot of nutrients when cooked, and if the cut is higher in fat it will have less. I doubt it has 60 grams tho. That seems like a lot.
I stick with chicken also. It is a bit more universal than meat, and lower in calories and fat. But still has tons of protein.0 -
Not to mention animal fat is healthy. I don't actually know about the protein content but 60 does seem REALLY high. Fat is not a bad thing it's funny how people make it out to be. Fat is important in weight loss, et cetera as it keeps you satiated longer. The main reason low-fat diets fail because the people end up starving.0

right, lots of mitigating factors here. I use calorieking.com to calculate my nutritional value. I've done as much research as I can on their accuracy and it seems like it's usually within 5% of exact, which is probably as close as most of us will get.0
