I used my weight to calculate how many calories I burn standing/working in a retail environment.. I logged 7 hours and it came up with over 700 calories burnt.
Does this seem likely?! It seems lot just for standing around at work.. I have set my activity levels to sedentery as I only work weekends

I think you need to remember that you burn some calories sitting around doing nothing. So while you will burn more standing at work, I wouldn't count them as exercise calories. Maybe lightly active is a better description for your activity level excluding exercise?

Thank you.. I didnt want to change my activity level as I only work weekends as I am a student therefore sitting in lectures or doing assignments most other days :-) I only ask as ive gone over calories today and feel awful but then I did work a 9 hour shift lol

Yeah, I think that is taking your BMR into account, as well. I have a job where I am standing and walking around a lot, but I doubt I am burning 600+ calories on top of what my body naturally burns. :) You shouldn't feel awful about going over. If you were more active today, than usual, you probably did burn more, so it's quite possible you didn't go over. :flowerforyou:
