Energy Drinks?

Some people may not recommend them and some may..I just figured I'd ask. Are they any good "energy" (pre workout/pre fuel) smoothies/shakes or something that could help boost my energy to working out? The deal is I work Mon-Fri 7:30-4 and I usually work out in the am (5 or 6) because I have school and clinicals at night Since I have to get up so early I never have energy, even with getting 8 hours of sleep and I feel like I am sleepwalking myself through Insanity. Which you know, you definitely have to move your *kitten*! lol any recommendations? Even if I worked out at night (in between classes or after) I have no energy and maybe that's because I never really want to workout anyways but still...any ideas? Thanks guys

I think making your own shakes with different fruits and veggies are a good option. Try adding protein powder in it? Typical energy drinks are filled with sugar and way too much caffeine. You'd me doing your body more harm than good, by drinking those ones.0

The pre-workout energy drinks are okay when used occasionally. You could also drink coffee or even take caffeine pills as an alternative. A couple of other alternatives are phenylpiracetam and adrafinil.

Just keep in mind that adrafinil powder doesn't taste great, so you will want to mix it with something sweet.
Both phenypiracetam and adrafinil are excellent for studying and writing long essays. I used adarafinil while I finished my capstone project for my Masters Degree and I am currently using both of these products occasionally while I am going to school to be a Respiratory Therapist.0 -
While neither sugar nor caffeine is inherently harmful to your body or your workout, it might help if we knew whether you're looking for the quick energy boost of caffeine, or a more sustained increase from macronutrients, or supplementing some of your micronutrients often associated with energy increases.0
