Confused newbie!

Hi everyone,
I'm new to the site and feeling very confused... At the start I weighed 262lbs... have been working out since last Monday using Move Fitness to exercise as I don't have confidence to use the gym etc.. I have been inputting the calories given on screen and have not been over eating..in other words have not had my goal of 1,290 calories per day as I am scared to eat too much :/ anyway today I weighed in and have gained 2lbs.. should I be using mfp calories given or stick with the move fitness ones? Please help as I really feel like am never going to lose this weight... need to lose 131lbs to be at an ideal weight :embarassed:

  • So you've been working out not even a week? Your weight can fluctuate by pounds (at least mine does, I can go up 5 lbs in a day!) You're not going to see a dramatic change in a less than a week. Stick with it for a month, and see where you're at then.

    Are you eating 1290 NET calories?
  • No.. the most I had was 1199 but it's usually only around 580
