So was bummed about the 1/2 pound weight loss (weighed in yesterday) but weighed in today and I'm down another 1.5. Point is sodium and water retention is a huge game changer.

    oh so true!
  • .5 lbs is pretty good loss imo, I wouldn't have been bummed.
  • Sodium is horrible, but it can be counteracted with potassium or by flushing it out with water.

Exercise is also the culprit in some cases. When I do my strength training, I know that I'm holding water in my muscles. I try not to let it get to me when my weight fluctuates so much, but it's hard.
  • Fortunately I don't have that problem as I don't have a scale so the only thing I have to go on is how I'm feeling and my inches and as long as those are coming off I'm happy. Although I did find out today I was about 3lbs from my goal weight. Kind of a shame that I may start heading the other way before I was able to reach it.
  • Potassium huh? who knew. Thanks

I have wanted to try to cut sodium out of my diet for a while now but it seems like its in everything. Has anyone had success eating no or less sodium?
  • Just read all packages and learn to use other spices.
